area is also a very important  In other words the kind of neighborhood and market to sell your outdoor advertising space to.
Traffic count on the highway or street you are on, the more traffic the better. In cities the foot traffic is a big factor, in cities
like New York City foot traffic plays a great factor in advertising rates the majority of the million plus daily viewers are
pedestrians.

In cities like New York, Miami Atlanta and LA the advertising rates are certainly going to be greater there than in a sleepy

Electronic Digital billboards or much the same as a static billboards the location of your billboard is going to determine
how much you can charge for your advertisements. A digital billboard in the right locations will make you 6 to 8 times that
of a static billboard in advertising rates the return on your investment dollar can be quite amazing.  The better the location,
the higher the traffic count, The better the visibility the higher the demand for your location, higher demand means the
more you can charge for your advertising rates, higher rates mean a higher advertising income revenue stream.

1. Know Your Competition:  Digital billboards have a lot in common with other digital advertising formats, including radio

A new measurement tool developed by OAAA and TAB called EYES ON Impressions, or EOI, delivers the average
number of persons who are likely to notice an ad viewed on an outdoor display. EOIs are available in all U.S. media markets.

3. Develop A CPM. The CPM, or Cost Per Thousand, is a tool that advertisers and media buyers commonly use to
compare different advertising media, leveling the playing field between them. CPM is a measurement of how much a
medium costs per 1,000 impressions, or people who see it. Since most advertisers want to make efficient advertising buys,
the CPM is the tool they use to get the most with their budget. Know the CPM for competing media - radio, television and
newspapers then  set your advertising cost using the following equation: Total cost of advertising purchase = CPM x
(gross impressions /1000) For example, if you decide a competitive CPM is $2 and you know that your audience is
996,000 people/month, then:

Total cost of advertising purchase = $2 x (996,000 / 1000) Total cost of advertising purchase = $2 x 996 $2 x 996 = $1992/
month From your advertising rate card you would start with $1,992 per month per board. Another factor to consider when
setting rates is the length of the advertising contract. Time frames that billboard operators use are 4, 6, 12, 24 and 52 weeks.
The longer you can secure a board with the same advertiser, the less time you have to spend finding another prospect.
Consider it worth your time to give advertisers a price break on the cost of your board the longer time frame they commit to.
